How unexpected,
that the week before Easter,
called in Dutch:
the week of suffering,
turned into a week
of predicted highest casualties
in the wealthiest nation,
as we are called.
Only a few do observe Lent,
Spring is the Dutch translation.
willing or unwilling
we all experience Spring,
fifty years ago, warned
to become a Silent Spring?
it happens as we make noise
before the Silence sets in.
Now we are at the start of
Holy Week, suffering,
this time we suffer, too.
we suffer all that could have been...
a potential compromised,
as the promised King,
wearing a thorned crown.
as the Corona we all
fear...
