The parable of the two walls
Fall 2020
Once there was A man who was
so stuck on wielding power,
That he wanted to erect a wall:
Steel to turn away the needy,
Structures resembling prison rails.
Wildlife Stuck in crossing pattern,
Monarchs in their migrating trails.
Who's side of prison is the man facing?
Looking in or being imprisoned himself?
This wall already started to crumble.
Unstable foundation, shortcuts applied.
Water will always find her way in.
And Very soon will flood his land,
As sad consequences of his reign.
The parable of the unwise man,
Seems universal and biblical alike:
Protect one's riches by steel and structures,
Means a freedom oneself denied.
There's another wall now growing,
In the african SAHARA range.
Built by hand, and green in color
To protect, but also to embrace
By planting trees and pastures laid,
Animals and nature share
the needed benefit from shade.
The dictator did not notice, that
Many were turned off by his wall.
They stopped coming to his country,
Once inviting, now an appall.
while he hangs out with his maga bro's,
Isolation will hurt his nation, soon
The emperor will have no clothes.
African nations seek their power,
in Wisdom used as nature's tool.
One green wall built as a wise act,
The other one, built by a fool
Currently India as well as China are building "Green Walls", too.
